Everybody loves a great drugstore find, right? Here are my top 10 makeup products under $10, in no particular order:
1) Maybelline FitMe Concealer
This concealer is a great one-size-fits-all concealer. I like it for both dark under eye circles and for covering redness or spots. It has medium coverage and is not drying to the under eye area. When set with a powder it does not crease on me. I’ve repurchased this multiple times.
2) Coty Airspun Powder
This is a translucent talc-based setting powder. It is great for baking or regular setting of makeup. This powder should not change the color of your foundation and won’t cause flash back in photos. You get a TON of product in here. The only downside is the old lady makeup smell it has. If you own this, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
3) Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
This is my all-time favorite mascara. It gives volume and length with minimal zig-zagging up the lashes. I find the fluffy brush makes it easy to separate the lashes and avoid clumps. The only bad thing about this mascara is that it’s not waterproof. But for me it’s totally fine for a normal day without smudging. I’ve only been able to find this at Walgreens.
4) ColourPop Sculpting Stix
I reviewed these in an earlier blog post, but I really have been using these non-stop since I got them. They are so easy to use and blend out. The pen style makes it easy to place the colors exactly where you want them and allows you to slowly build up a contoured look, whether you want something more natural or dramatic.
5) NYX Butter Gloss
These are just really great lip glosses. They are smooth, non-sticky, semi-sheer, and have no smell or taste. These come in a ton of colors. I personally don’t like spending a lot on gloss because it just doesn’t last very long by nature, so these are just a great product and price point. I actually like these better than some higher end glosses I own.
6) ELF Studio Blushes
These blushes by ELF are great. They are pigmented just enough so that you don’t have to fight to get them on your brush/face, but not too pigmented that they’re hard to work with. They are nice and blendable as well. These come in a bunch of shades. The only downside is that the pans seem pretty small so you don’t get a ton of product. (But for the price,I mean… c’mon.)
7) Milani Baked Blushes
Milani’s baked blushes are just so incredibly good. If you don’t own any blush, I highly recommend these blushes, especially the shade luminoso. The application of these blushes is probably one of my favorites out of all my blushes, including some high end brands. The only downside is the clunky packaging and that a lot of the shades are VERY glittery. I have Luminoso, Delizioso Pink, and Bella Rosa, all of which have a nice, non-glittery finish.
8) Ardell False Eyelashes
I have learned over the years that I don’t have much space between my eyes and eyebrows compared to the average youtuber. A lot of lashes that beauty gurus wear just look absolutely stupid on me because they’re literally touching my eyebrows. Ardell lashes are wearable for me, yet still dramatic. They have a thin, clear band that makes them very easy to apply.
9) NYX Micro Brow Pencil
In my opinion, this pencil is very comparable to the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I compared the two in an earlier blog post here. I think there are a lot of comparable shades and the NYX is half the price of the Anastasia. I have quite a bit of shaping and filling to do each day because my brows are really sparse (thanks for over-plucking, 13-year-old self.) and this gets the job done.
10) Wet ‘n Wild Eyeshadows
If you are looking for cheap eyeshadows, Wet ‘n Wild really does it best in my opinion. I think they function similarly to Urban Decay eyeshadows, but maybe a little bit more powdery because they’re so soft. But the pigmentation and blendability are just so great. The only downside to these is that they’re really lacking matte shadows.
So that is it! I did check online to make sure all of these products ARE available for $10. If you live in a big city or outside the US, you might pay a couple dollars over that for some of these products. I highly recommend all of them and if you haven’t heard of any of these products before, definitely try them out! I think you will be impressed.
